Drawing with a stream in the background
Keep the sound simple while you sketch, test colours, or get past the awkward first marks on a page.
Start before the setup becomes a project
Get the paper, pencil, or drawing app ready first. Then choose Stream and make a few marks. You don’t need the final idea worked out, and you don’t need a different sound for every stage of the drawing. The easiest setup is one you can leave alone.
Try it at a low level while sketching something nearby: a mug, a plant, the corner of a chair. It gives you a real activity to compare against. Listening carefully to the audio by itself won’t tell you whether you like it while drawing.
Match the background to how you work
If you enjoy a more detailed atmosphere during loose sketches, try a little Forest underneath. For close work where you’re checking tiny lines, compare that with Stream alone. The choice can change as the drawing changes; there’s no need to commit to one setting for the whole afternoon.
When a layer starts catching your attention, remove it before turning the rest up. Adding more sound to hide the one that bothers you can make the mix harder to follow. A clear, simple background leaves you fewer controls to think about.
Keep reference and atmosphere separate
A Gallery picture can be a pleasant backdrop, but use the drawing reference you actually need in a place you can see it. Fullscreen scenery may be lovely during a pause and inconvenient while you’re working from another image.
When you take that pause, choose a scene, set its available layers, and press Start. Close it to clear the scene sounds before returning to your drawing. If the main-mixer Stream combination worked well, save it so the next sketch can begin with less setup.
