Folding laundry with Waves in the background
For the small jobs that need your hands but don’t need another video playing beside them.
Something to hear while your hands work
A basket of laundry can become a surprisingly long job if every few items send you back to a video. If you fancy a simpler background, try Waves on its own while sorting the first handful. There’s no story to catch up with when you look away.
Keep the speaker quiet enough for the room you’re in. The background doesn’t have to reach every cupboard. If you move around a lot, set it where you’ll do most of the folding and leave the rest of the house alone.
See whether you like a little more detail
Add Wind only if Waves by itself feels too plain for you. Bring it in quietly, fold a few more items, and compare. That’s enough of an experiment; you don’t need to pause the job and search every sound in the collection.
You might decide that Campfire is more enjoyable for this kind of task, or that you’d rather hear the room. Change once if you want to, then get back to the basket. The point is having company for the job, not finding a soundtrack that makes laundry exciting.
The empty basket can be the ending
Pause when the folding is finished. You can put the last things away without keeping the audio going just because it’s already on. A short background session can end with an ordinary job rather than a timer.
Save the mix if you actually want to hear it again. A label such as “Waves while folding” is enough to bring it back to mind. If it turns out you only wanted it this once, there’s no need to keep another combination in the list.
