Pure Soundscapes guides

Pair a nature scene with your own soundscape

Choose a Gallery scene, customize its sound layers, and use the fullscreen view without losing control of playback.

Choose the scene before starting playback

Gallery contains ten nature scenes, including Rainy Forest, Hidden Waterfall, Ocean Sunset, Mountain Lake, and Golden Dunes. Choosing a scene updates the main preview and its suggested sound layers. Browsing scenes does not start the sound: you can take time to compare images and prepare your selection.

The image and sound suggestions are independent choices. A forest image can work with only rain, or with rain, a stream, and a quiet forest layer. The preview lists the sounds available for that scene. Use the plus button to add a sound and the tick button to remove it. A selected sound has a slider between its name and the tick.

Make the suggested mix your own

For Rainy Forest, start by listening to Rain and Stream together. Bring in Forest if you want more detail. Thunder is optional: add it at a restrained level, then listen long enough to decide whether its changes suit the moment. For Golden Dunes, Wind alone can be enough; Grass breeze adds a second texture without needing to fill every sound slot.

Sliders control the relative level of each layer, not a measured sound-pressure level. Lowering the overall speaker control or your device volume is still necessary if playback feels too loud. Keep the mix comfortable rather than using it to overpower everything around you.

Use the viewing controls

Choose Start to open the immersive view and play the selected layers. Its compact bottom bar contains play/pause, overall volume, Change scene, Sounds, Slow zoom, and fullscreen. Sounds opens a small panel for editing the current layers. Click outside that panel or use its close button to dismiss it.

Slow zoom adds gentle movement to the still image; turn it off if you prefer a stationary view. Fullscreen uses your browser’s fullscreen feature, so availability can differ between browsers and mobile devices. Exiting browser fullscreen returns to the immersive view. Use the view’s close button when you want to leave the scene entirely.

Switch scenes or finish the session

Change scene opens the scene picker while the current soundscape continues. Selecting another scene replaces the mix with that scene’s current choices, and transitions between its sound layers. Your edits are remembered while this Gallery session remains open. They are not a permanent saved Gallery library.

Closing the immersive view stops the sounds, clears the active selection, and cancels any running sleep timer. You return to the Gallery preview rather than leaving audio playing unexpectedly in the background. If you only want a brief interruption, use Pause instead of closing the view.
