Pure Soundscapes guides

Make a Campfire soundscape for a quiet break

Keep Campfire prominent, try one supporting outdoor layer, and create a session that is easy to pause and finish.

Choose a listening break rather than a complicated setup

Before building the mix, decide what your break will look like. You might put the screen aside, look at a nature scene, or sit with a drink while listening. Making that choice first helps you avoid spending the entire break comparing every available sound.

Choose Campfire alone in the mixer and start quietly. Listen for a little while before adding anything. If it already creates the atmosphere you want, keep that version. A soundscape does not need multiple layers to feel finished.

Keep one supporting layer in the background

Try Forest for an outdoor setting or Wind for a more open atmosphere. Add one at a lower level and compare it with Campfire alone. The supporting sound should have a role you can describe, rather than being included only because it is available.

If a third layer makes the mix feel crowded, remove it and compare again. Campfire has noticeable details of its own, so several other prominent layers may leave you adjusting controls instead of enjoying the break. Let one sound lead and keep the others quieter.

Try a scene with minimal visual movement

If you prefer a picture, open Gallery and choose a scene that offers Campfire. Customize its available layers and press Start. The image and sounds create an atmosphere together; they are not necessarily a photograph and recording of the same location.

Try the image still before enabling Slow zoom. Fullscreen can fill your display when you want the scene to be the main visual. Keep your preference simple: use whichever view you enjoy, and turn visual movement off if it becomes something you keep watching rather than a background.

End the session deliberately

Pause is useful for a brief interruption. When you are finished with the immersive Gallery view, close it to clear the sounds. If you have a timer active from the main mixer, remember that the Gallery control bar does not show timer controls; closing the scene also cancels that timer.

For a main-mixer combination you want to reuse, save it with a clear name such as “Campfire with quiet wind.” Saved combinations remain in the browser where you made them. Keep a separate note of the layers if you want to recreate the same balance on another device.
